Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 8, 2026

MilMoneyPro ("we", "us", "our") operates milmoneypros.com (the "Service") to help U.S. military households organize their financial picture and discover qualified professionals. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use and share it, and the rights you have under U.S. federal and state law. This policy is informational and does not create a contract; binding terms are in our Terms of Service.

1. Information we collect

  • Account information: name, email, password hash, household role, and authentication metadata.
  • Household brief: financial, tax, employment, military service, dependent, insurance, and estate-planning data you choose to enter.
  • Sensitive information (as defined under state privacy laws and the GLBA): partial Social Security numbers, financial account references, beneficiaries, and military status. This data is encrypted at rest, transmitted over TLS 1.2+, and access-controlled at the row level.
  • Usage data: log events, device, browser, truncated IP address, referrer, and pages viewed.
  • Cookies and similar technologies: see our Cookie Policy.

2. How we use information

  • To provide, secure, and improve the Service and your household account.
  • To share your brief only with household members and professionals you explicitly select.
  • To detect, prevent, and respond to fraud, abuse, and security incidents.
  • To comply with law and respond to lawful requests, subpoenas, and court orders.

We do not sell personal information, do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, and do not use it to train third-party AI models. We honor browser Global Privacy Control (GPC)signals as a valid opt-out where applicable.

3. Sharing

We share information with: (a) household members you invite; (b) professionals you choose to send your brief to; (c) service providers and subprocessors (hosting, email, analytics, payment processors) bound by written data-processing agreements that restrict use to providing services to us; and (d) authorities when required by law, including in response to valid legal process or to protect rights, safety, or property.

4. Security and the FTC Safeguards Rule

Because we handle nonpublic personal financial information, we maintain a written information security program consistent with the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act ("GLBA") and the FTC Safeguards Rule (16 C.F.R. Part 314), including TLS in transit, encryption at rest, role-based and row-level access controls, multi-factor authentication for privileged access, single-use household invitation tokens, vulnerability management, and audit logging. No system is perfectly secure. We will notify affected users and applicable regulators of qualifying breaches consistent with all 50 U.S. state breach-notification statutes (including Florida Statute § 501.171), the FTC Safeguards Rule notification requirement, and other applicable laws.

5. Your privacy rights

Subject to verification and legal exceptions, you may access, correct, delete, port, and opt out of certain processing of your personal information at any time from your dashboard or by emailing privacy@milmoneypros.com. You may also appeal a refused request. Residents of states with comprehensive privacy laws – including California (CCPA/CPRA), Virginia (VCDPA), Colorado (CPA), Connecticut (CTDPA), Utah (UCPA), Texas (TDPSA), Oregon (OCPA), Montana (MCDPA), Iowa (ICDPA), Delaware (DPDPA), New Hampshire, New Jersey, Tennessee (TIPA), Minnesota (MCDPA), Maryland (MODPA), Rhode Island, Indiana, and Kentucky – have these rights as a matter of state law. Nevada residents may opt out of the sale of covered information under NRS Chapter 603A. We do not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

6. Financial-data protections (GLBA)

Information you provide about income, accounts, debts, and beneficiaries is "nonpublic personal information" under the GLBA. We use it only for the purposes described in this policy and do not disclose it to nonaffiliated third parties except as permitted by 15 U.S.C. § 6802 and as you direct.

7. Military-specific protections

We honor the Servicemembers Civil Relief Act (SCRA, 50 U.S.C. § 3901 et seq.) and the Military Lending Act (MLA, 10 U.S.C. § 987) in our handling of servicemember data. We do not condition platform access on the disclosure of dependent SSNs, and we do not market consumer credit products to covered servicemembers in violation of the MLA.

8. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them in violation of the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act ("COPPA", 15 U.S.C. § 6501). Dependent information is entered by the servicemember or spouse for household-planning purposes only. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

9. Communications (CAN-SPAM and TCPA)

Marketing emails comply with the CAN-SPAM Act (15 U.S.C. § 7701) and include an unsubscribe link. We do not send autodialed calls or SMS without prior express consent as required by the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA, 47 U.S.C. § 227) and FCC rules.

10. Data retention and international transfers

We retain personal information for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period thereafter to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. The Service is operated from and intended for users in the United States. If you access it from outside the U.S., you consent to the transfer of your information to the United States.

11. Accessibility

We design the Service to comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act ("ADA") and WCAG 2.1 AA. To request an accessible format or report a barrier, email accessibility@milmoneypros.com.

12. Changes

We will post changes here and, for material changes, notify account holders by email at least ten (10) days before they take effect. The "Last updated" date above reflects the current version.
